A leftist is practically forced to believe that the everyday world is bad. The whole movement would no longer have a raison d'être (reason for existence) if everyday life were good. Why then would you want a revolution? Most of the leftist concepts: exploitation, alienation, structural oppression, misery, inequality, injustice, etc. are watered down if everyday life is good or goes in a better direction. To remain a leftist, a leftist has to experience everyday life as bad.
For Stoastad, everyday life is good. There is no need to improve it.
Let's take relevant examples.
If you earn €2700 net, it would be nice to earn €300 more. But that's not the point. The core issue is to make that €2700 enough. And it's quite enough when you get it right.
The same goes for knowledge about the world. The knowledge we have in chemistry, physics, economics, medicine, history, political science, etc. is quite sufficient. Sure, it would be nice to know a little more, but the point is that for understanding the world, what we know today is quite enough. Even the least developed of the sciences, nutrition, is good enough to be able to eat healthily.
The same applies to everyday life. The traditions and practices that we have in our everyday life are quite sufficient. Sure, it would be nice to have a little more money, cooking skills, recipes, a few extra square meters in the apartment, a better car, faster and more comfortable public transport, more stylish clothes, new friends, better movies, new music, etc. But that's not the point. The point is that an average, ordinary, everyday life is quite enough for a good life.
So it is not necessary to improve your money, your understanding of the world and your everyday life. It's enough to tidy up the present.
